Give peace and tranquility to the vulnerable tribal segments who are downer in spite of decades of Indian glories

Key Achievements

  •  Provision of Care and Support and family helping mechanism to 3000 identified infected and affected children and families for better health, nutrition and sustenance through the Balasahyoga of Family Health International (FHI)
  •  Provision of benefits of science and technology to the rural schools by way of the project “participation of youth in real time observation for the benefit of education” through the department of science and technology, Government of India
  •  Providing Science related weather forecasting, e-education, e-governance, tele-health, tele-commerce, Agriculture, livelihoods kind of value added services through village resource centers - ISRO of government of India.
  •  Sorting out the problem of education of Andhra Orissa Border Areas particularly in checking the migration and school dropouts, improving women and child health through the Project NEG-FIRE of IBCI (Indian Bishops Conference of India)
  •  Making available the awareness and practical handling mechanism against spread of HIV/AIDS in remote tribal habitations thereby making them sensitized on the HIV/AIDS phenomenon through the project “DISHA” of IGSSS.
  •  The 10 bedded community care center at Paderu with the objective of ensuring counseling for ART, Drug adherence, treatment of OI’s and precautions with large scale community participation and in-house treatment.
  •  Sensitizing the Tribal adolescent children on the precautions against spread of HIV/AIDS by forming the child clubs and child protection committees through child led interventions through a project of SANKALPAM of (SC – UK) save the children – Bala Raksha Bharath
  •  Arranging for the testing of pregnant mothers for checking the spread of parent to child transmission of HIV/AIDS through the guided interaction with community through a project PPTCT+ of APSACS and NACO
  •  Action oriented learning, community owned initiatives and capacity building in self-help process for accessing the Govt. initiatives and resources through European Union project of sustainable Tribal empowerment program and the following key achievements.
  •  Provision of Drinking water and irrigation source in 76 remote and hilltop tribal villages with an outlay of Rs.31, 37,231 benefiting 35000 families
  •  Provision of Rs.26, 46,000 towards grain banks for food security in 361 tribal habitations benefiting 10000 families
  •  Provision of Rs.12, 44,300/- towards livelihood promotion in 60 villages benefiting 1060 families
  •  Trained the under privileged 600 tribal youth in community mobilization skills and self-help for planned occupations
  •  Implementation of projects affecting women & child health, sanitation nutrition and hygiene, social awareness, prevention of HIV/AIDS, child marriages, child rights, adolescent rights, reducing school dropouts in 1000 villages with the assistance of various organizations.
  •  The awareness level on hygiene, sanitation, mother & child health and nutrition are improved and as part of this drive the sanitation facilities (child friendly toilets) are improved with an outlay of 4.72 lakhs in 20 model villages and 5 Ashram Schools and in 5 Anganwadi Centers and 37 AWCs are promoted as child friendly centers to reduce the school dropouts, promote girl child education and to improve the mother & child health and nutrition for health restoration drive in 80 villages of Tribal Mandal.
  •  Mainstreaming of 300 dropout children in 3 Girikirnam Residential Bridge Centers with the assistance of ITDA & SSA
  •  Awareness generation on stigmas and discrimination and against social practices through kalajathas & art forms in north coastal districts of AP
  •  Forming Networks, think tank & conferences for unanimity and exposures for strengthening PRI and Rights based democratic movements.
  •  Generating awareness on social & legal aspects and facilitating the community to work for justice and participation in democratic movements.
  •  Preventing HIV/AIDS prevalence and protecting orphan & vulnerable segments through community based case and support system.
  •  Promoting IEC&TFD to extend outreach on social issues for 10000 people every year
  •  Information dissemination on environment, forest issues and promoting research studies and making efforts for promoting harmony among different sections of the society
  •  Conjunctive collaboration with national and international government agencies and like minded individuals
