Girinestham Tribal Resource Centre

Girinestham as part of CADET under the aegis of DKA Austria has restructured the Tribal resource centre for civil societies and fellows’ engagement and networking to bridge and serve as connection link between the communities and duty bearers of government on the other team up to act for resolving area issues and to leverage the government entitlements in Tribal Villages.

Facilitated by diverse CSO’s and collaboration with structures & partners to provide tools necessary to exhibit transformation and transitional debates on accessing linkages, entitlements, leverages’ and schemes towards empowerment, shift from problem-focused approach to proactive local governance, future-thinking strategy development on rights and privileges with pedagogical approach to provide tribal leaders and communities knowledge and skills orienting functional in policy decisions in framework of community wisdom to impact future rights realization and entitlement accessing.


Contribution towards Demonstration of Nutrition Mission and MCH Care – Community Level Intervention – UNICEF and Dept. of Women and Child. Deliverance of impact driven strategies for tribal health through extended outreach of rationalizing service charts of service providers and auxiliary village traditions, linking Tribal health denominators with national perspective for policy dialogue and research are deliverable imprints.

Flourishing associational life and development for higher social capital and cohesion to manifest in health paradigm, values and informal networks and community capitalization are overriding factors of this advent in 102 villages of 5 ICDS Blocks -ITDA Paderu with accentuated demonstration of convergence. Organizing and obtaining responses of communities’ structures for eco friendly health surveillance and charting child friendly AWC’s ancillary to SMART villages are logical derivatives.

CHETANA program sponsored by UNICEF is a drive of Nutrition and Health through community empowerment and service access is an Inclusive project targeting towards negotiating detrimental social norms, forbid malnourished casualties by endorsing sanctuary defense of communities through accelerating system and community level care and protection and linkage portfolios.

Initiatives of SMART – AP Interventions of Tribal and Marginal Households

Women’s Collectives – Social Dignity

NATURE has undertaken the novel initiatives as partner to AP Government initiated SMART program. With the existing resource and social capital under the program blended together knowledge of stakeholders and partner organization on village development with the power of direct and on-the-ground efforts in tribal communities, coalition efforts, and area centric awareness and information campaigns on WASH, agriculture and allied activities, animal husbandry, sanitation, health & Nutrition, education, financial inclusion, plantation, irrigation and water conservation, information systems and communication, village infrastructure including roads, water, power, transportation, drainage etc coupled with practical demonstrations of the platform to reinforce commitment to own and access means from government.

The essence is focus on improved resource-use efficiency, empowered local self-governance, access to assured basic amenities and responsible individual and community behavior to build a vibrant and happy society with the partnerships so as to reach the goal of Swarnandhra Pradesh by 2029

CMRP – Millets – farmers field education - Learnings and food security – Department of Agriculture and ATMA under NFSM.

The CMRP program is one supportive venture mapping and tracking the Farmer’s engaged in Millets Cultivation in association with ATMA of Dept. of Agriculture, Arakuvalley and NATURE in 14 Grama Panchayat’s Arakuvalley Mandal. Undertaking comprehensive programming of vulnerability mapping among Millet Cultivated Farmers and micro planning are the essentials towards a framework of MVK’s, Training of Farmer’s and MVK Members, exhibitions, Seeds Distribution, extensive, seed festivals, capacity building, consultations, Panchayath/Mandal/District Level Workshops on Millet Issues involving PRI, Soil Tastings, SRI methods, Exhibitions at Mandal, Panchayat, Village Level and Establishing seasonal procurement Centers for Millets through Markfed and ultimately culminating towards formation of FPO are the non-negotiable components.

Mother Tongue based MLE in 50 Border Area Schools of Dumbriguda Mandal – Adivasi Oriya, Kui and Kondadora Local Tribal Dialects. The increased devolution of education, means to access Multi Lingual Education pedagogy at AWC and schools highlighted significance of inter layer education coordination and community combine emphasizing on MBMLE need and promoting bi-lingual teaching pedagogy, learning material to replicate promising practice in tribal languages- Adivasi Oriya, Kui and Kondadora in 50 villages covering schools& AWC’s and has designed learning material of Primers, Wordbooks, Posters, Treasure House, Art and Play methods.

The project has employed key strategy of Mother tongue based Multi-Lingual Education in border areas of AP–Odisha capacitating duty bearers and teachers in MLE approaches and establishing methods, emanating demand generation, local IEC, science corners and student empowerment through forming child clubs and coordinating relations that remained a fundamental principle of heritage relationship with tribes and accelerating the learning levels and combining the evaluation criterion with demonstrated measurements for all tribes and teachers recognizing Mother Tongue Based Multi-Lingual Education processes and potentialities for augmenting education.

Community Health Integration in all interventions

Intensive IEC /TFD – Campaign on Awareness Generation, WASH, Sanitation Over the past two decades the NATURE has focused its attempts at wider dissemination of information on tribal empowerment, means and ways to track their awareness on components of Health, Education, Livelihoods, Income Generation, Seasonal Diseases, Water and Sanitation Practices, Food And Nutrition, Age Old Isolation And Detrimental Cultural Ethos, Implementation of Schematic Intervention, follow up and create a network of key stakeholders through popular art forms of Kalajatha, IEC and IPC methodologies in local dialects of Kondadora, Adivasi oriya, Kui to get to the people with a sustained interventional outlook. Through these TFD / IEC the tribal owned and led outreach and extension programs the entitlements linkages, advocacy and tireless transformation drive are realized.

The essential components are cadre development, Building the communities capacities to rebuild the present onset of schemes realization, CSO advancement and a replication to the future instants towards larger goals of captivating on community centric and owned mechanisms. Constitution of Tribal Resources Centers for the next phases and Initiative for Youth building, supporting increased governance education, training, and technical assistance opportunities, enhancing communication, coordination, and collaboration among groups working to support tribes’ efforts to strengthen their governance systems are the mainstays of the project.

Prevention, Care & Support to Infected and Affected – Community Based Care

The initiatives targeting care, support and rehabilitation are remarkable soliciting community based support towards child rights, child protection particularly for the children infected and affected and families and similarly the networking with various functional line departments and also the medical and health areas and support for children and their families with the Goal to improve the quality of life and preserve the child growth and participation and comprehensive development by expanding coverage of comprehensive care, support and treatment services.

MEE NESTHAM – MOBILE ICTC Collaboration with APSACS, Govt.of AP

The community accessed testing and at the sites of large pool of vulnerable populace to the incidence thereby giving a scope for a comprehensive coverage of all sections has been the underlying idea of Mee Nestham ICTC that enables the community to ventilate the emotive responses and get to the tastings to the otherwise morbid communities and make them responsive to testing and linkages through effective on the site counseling and prospective therapeutic interventions. The mission of Mobile ICTC is creating awareness and screening the general public and vulnerable sections for HIV tests

Empowering Community and Children through Long Term Sponsorship Intervention

Life Cycle Approaches through Child Development Project among 1000 Children Providing home and centre based quality learning stimulation, financial support to livelihoods generation, Improve school infrastructure, foster community-based positive parenting, strengthen governmental collaboration for adaptation of duty bearer obligations.

Program is assisting 1000 children and 1000 families across 50 remote Tribal pockets of Vizianagaram district with unique child-centric intervention programs towards development and protection with vision of ensuring underserved children, youth& families have access to quality education, health and adequate nutrition, educate parents and caregivers about their role in preserving maternal and child health and help youth gain life skills, exhaust exploitation and abuse.

Service access and retention, Entrepreneurial vocational& skill development for girls, Reaching the Unreached Life Skills Education, Civic engagement & Leadership Training, Sustainable support and positive outcomes, Resilience through participatory planning, Strengthening community structures, effective and efficient decentralized governance and Promotion are tirades in which 60 are vocationally trained, 200 children and youth are accessing and mainstreamed.

1098 – child line collaboration with Childline India Foundation under aegis support of Ministry of Women and Child, Govt.of India and State Government Line Departments

1098 – child line collab organization and service provision for rescue and rehabilitation of needy and vulnerable children through exploring departmental collaboration and support for mainstreaming of education, health and care & protection.

CSO NATURE has always been the frontrunner in augmenting the child rights projections despite there being several of the constraints in the rights protection scenario and is accessing all of the location and logistical considerations and looking at the child rights work as an ever perennial with prosperous collaborations. The NATURE ChildLine has been a constructive level player in augmenting the mentoring of street, thrown out, marginalized, orphans and gullible children segment towards streamlining the rehabilitation packages through the collaborations and partnerships.

Networking of CSO’s, forms and communities collaborative actions and generating impact through micro and macro advocacy and functional partnerships dissemination for wider replication of vulnerable communities.

The NATURE has employed a key strategy of networking of CSO’s towards collaborative actions through directing rights holder to duty bearers pacifying the relations through trust relationship with tribes. The potential avenues for collaboration and partnerships happened to be the micro and macro advocacy for inspiring the masses and the policy making bodies for a dialogue and dissemination of information.

The increased devolution of programs and the means to access mutual dependenace at all levels of networking highlighted the need for and benefits communities’ coordination with the active push of combined exercises.

Over the past three years the Collaboration has witnessed the focus on attempts at launching various interventional strategies for a framework of means and ways of tracking implementation of schematic interventions, follow up and create a network of key stakeholders admixing the youth leadership, PRI and development activists.

Collaboration with NCPCR in Contributing ventures to strengthen Child Rights Protection mechanism in AP through SCPCR – AP and Individual Involvement as a Member-I/C Chairperson during 2014 - 2017.

As part of this the commission has undertaken several of the Child Rights violation cases and projected the rejuvenation mechanism through statutory provisions.
